MSSA Teacher Training
We are part of the Merseyside Special Schools Alliance. MSSA is a unique Alliance of ‘Outstanding’ special schools.
By training to become a teacher with MSSA you would have the opportunity to develop your SEND skills alongside outstanding practitioners.
You will have access to a range of settings, in both mainstream and special schools.
Training with us includes opportunities to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of SEND that would enable you to effectively support pupils with a range of additional needs. We offer dedicated enhancement training days over the period of the course which include:
- SLD Learner Profile
- ASD Training
- Communication & Interaction
- Assessment & Planning
- Positive Management of Behaviours/SEMH
- Introduction to working with pupils with SPLD
- Preparing for a successful mainstream experience
- Teaching pupils with sensory & physical impairments
