School Business Manager

The Governors of Princes Primary School are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic School Business Manager to join the leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the strategy and operational business functions of our school, including financial management, administration, human resources, facility and property management and health and safety.

As the role is integral to the strategic leadership of the school, you must be a strong leader who can inspire and motivate a team, provide clear direction and effectively delegate tasks fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.  You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be highly organised and have the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.

Personal qualities

  • Sound experience of financial management and budgetary control in schools or equivalent
  • Experience of ICT
  • A good understanding and knowledge of Human Resources Management and payroll
  • An understanding of facilities management including Health and Safety
  • An ability to identify, research, develop, cost and implement new initiatives
  • An ability to secure funding through researching and applying for resources
  • A high degree of motivation and be fully committed to work in a school environment
  • The expectation to contribute to the life of the school
  • The skills to promote a positive image of the school through your work
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team

Teaching Assistants

Princes are looking to employ several TAs to work either 34 hrs/week or 28.5 hrs/week. Candidates are welcome to attend school for an informal visit.  For further information please see the job description.

We currently have 210 pupils and staff can be expected to work across all four sites with EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The application form or letter alongside the application form should demonstrate how each aspect of the person specification is met.

Midday Supervisory Assistant

Princes is situated on 4 sites. The main site is on Selborne Street a further site on Old Mill Lane.  There are also 2 satellite units based in Matthew Arnold Primary School, St Anne’s Catholic Primary School.

The vacant posts are in different sites as follows:-

(1) at the Main Site in Selborne Street, Toxteth

(2) at the Old Mill Lane site, Picton

The hours will be different depending on the site but will be either 11.30am to 1.15pm or 11.45am to 1.30pm
